RepoSTD Questions

How do I get the software?

Silica installs RepoSTD on your Windows PCs via AnyDesk or on-site (USB). There is no public Setup.exe download and no 60-day website trial. After purchase we type the once-off licence key on each authorised PC — you do not copy a licence file or print a key from this website. Licensed PCs cannot exceed licensed users (a 10-user key allows at most 10 PCs). Register interest or call 035 789 0565.

When will RepoSTD be available?

RepoSTD is in final preparation for release. Register your interest or call 035 789 0565 — we will notify you when a kit is ready. You will not download Setup from this website.

Does RepoSTD include a POS till?

Yes. RepoSTD includes a dedicated Point of Sale app for counter sales. POS posts the same accepted invoices and customer receipts as Back Office, so till sales appear on the sales register and customer statements.

Can I track serial numbers?

Yes. Enable serial tracking on products. Receive extra units on a GRV (that increases quantity). Take-on only tags serials onto units already on hand — it does not invent stock. Allocate serials on invoice or POS. Credit notes can return sold serials to stock. Workshop repair jobs are included for computer and electronics workshops.

Is the in-app backup the same as the Backup System?

No. RepoSTD includes company backup and restore inside Back Office (Master Data → Database Backup / Restore). That copies that company’s books. The Backup System is a separate program for scheduled, encrypted, monitored backups of business data. It is not required to use RepoSTD, and it is not the same feature.

Will it integrate with Silica Payroll?

RepoSTD is designed as a standalone product. Payroll journal export from Silica Payroll is on our roadmap for a future integration.

Does it produce VAT201 workings?

RepoSTD produces VAT201 workings from posted invoices, GRVs and journals — period summaries you or your accountant use to file. It does not file VAT at SARS for you, and it is not a Sage replacement.

Which bank statements can I import?

Bank recon is the bank GL (usually 1110) versus the statement. Import Capitec PDF or CSV. Other banks use CSV presets. There is no any-bank PDF import and no auto-match of statement lines. Cash stays on 1100 until banked; card machine sales are one daily batch, not per customer.

What are RepoSTD support hours?

Software support is during business hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (Richards Bay). There is no Saturday till-down SLA.
